DTC P0630: VIN not Programmed or Mismatch - ECM / PCM: Procedure

READ OUTPUT DTC (DTC P0630)

Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
Turn the ignition switch to ON.
Turn the Techstream on.
Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Trouble Codes.

Read DTCs.

Result

P0630 and other DTCs	B

HINT:

If any DTCs other than P0630 are output, troubleshoot those DTCs first.

NOTE:

If P0630 is stored, the VIN must be input to the ECM using the Techstream. However, all DTCs are cleared automatically by the Techstream when input. If DTCs other than P0630 are output, check them first.
