Fuel Sender Gauge Assembly: Installation: Installation

  1. INSTALL FUEL SENDER GAUGE RH ASSEMBLY (for 4WD) 
    1. Install the fuel sender gauge RH assembly to the fuel tank with the 5 bolts.

      Torque: 1.5 N*m (15 kgf*cm, 13 in.*lbf) 

    2. Connect the fuel sender gauge connector.

  2. INSTALL FUEL SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY (for 4WD) 
    1. Install the fuel sender gauge assembly by sliding it downward.

      NOTE:

      Do not damage the wire harness.

    2. Connect the connector of the fuel sender gauge assembly.
      NOTE:

      Make sure that the fuel sender gauge arm does not bend.

  3. INSTALL FUEL SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY (for 2WD) 
    1. Install the fuel sender gauge assembly by sliding it downward.

      NOTE:

      Do not damage the wire harness.

    2. Connect the connector of the fuel sender gauge assembly.
      NOTE:

      Make sure that the fuel sender gauge arm does not bend.

  4. INSTALL FUEL SUCTION TUBE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the fuel suction tube assembly to the fuel tank assembly. Refer to INSTALLATION .
  5. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
  6. INSPECT FOR FUEL LEAK  . Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION - Step 1
  7. INSTALL NO. 2 REAR FLOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER (for 4WD) 
    1. Install the No. 2 rear floor service hole cover.
