Steering Wheel: Removal: Removal

ALIGN FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD
REMOVE STEERING PAD
Refer to REMOVAL
REMOVE STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY
1. Remove the steering wheel assembly set nut.

2. Put matchmarks on the steering wheel assembly and steering main shaft.
3. Disconnect the connectors from the spiral cable sub-assembly.
4. Using SST, remove the steering wheel assembly.

    - 09952-05010
    - 09953-05020
    - 09954-05070
  NOTE:
  Apply a small amount of grease to the threads and tip of SST (09953-05020) before use.
REMOVE NO. 1 STEERING WHEEL ORNAMENT (w/o Steering Pad Switch RH)
1. Remove the screw.

2. Disengage the 2 pins and claw, and remove the No. 1 steering wheel ornament from the steering wheel sub-assembly.
REMOVE STEERING PAD SWITCH LH (w/o Steering Pad Switch RH) . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 5
REMOVE STEERING PAD SWITCH ASSEMBLY (w/ Steering Pad Switch RH) . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 6
REMOVE CRUISE CONTROL MAIN SWITCH (w/ Cruise Control System) . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 5
REMOVE CRUISE CONTROL SWITCH WIRE (w/ Cruise Control System)
REMOVE LOWER STEERING WHEEL BOSS COVER
1. Disengage the 2 pins.

2. Disengage the 2 claws to remove the lower steering wheel boss cover from the steering wheel sub-assembly.
