Section 19 (Emission Control System (2ZR-FE) (Service Information)): Canister: Installation: Installation

  1. INSTALL CHARCOAL CANISTER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the charcoal canister assembly with the 3 bolts.

      Torque: 19 N*m (194 kgf*cm, 14 ft.*lbf) 

    2. Push the air inlet line hose into the pipe (charcoal canister assembly) until the air inlet line hose makes a "click" sound.
      NOTE:
      • Check that there are no scratches or foreign matter around the connecting parts of the tube connector and pipe (charcoal canister assembly) before performing this work.
      • After connecting the air inlet line hose, check that the air inlet line hose is securely connected by pulling on the tube connector.
    3. Connect the purge line hose to the charcoal canister assembly.
    4. Connect the vapor pressure sensor connector to the charcoal canister assembly.
    5. Push in the fuel tank vent hose to the charcoal canister assembly and push in the retainer to engage the claws.

      NOTE:
      • Check that there are no scratches or foreign matter around the connecting parts of the tube connector and pipe (charcoal canister assembly) before performing this work.
      • After connecting the fuel tank vent hose, check that the fuel tank vent hose is securely connected by pulling on the tube connector.
