Data Signal Circuit between Stereo Jack Adapter and Extension Module: Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (EXTENSION MODULE - NO. 1 STEREO JACK ADAPTER ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the extension module connector.
    2. Disconnect the No. 1 stereo jack adapter assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G44-2 (UDO-) - G81-2 (US1-) Always Below 1 Ω
      G44-3 (UDO+) - G81-3 (US1+) Always Below 1 Ω
      G44-5 (UJSS) - G81-5 (USG1) Always Below 1 Ω
      G44-2 (UDO-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G44-3 (UDO+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G44-5 (UJSS) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Extension Module)
      *b Front view of wire harness connector
      (to No. 1 Stereo Jack Adapter Assembly)

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK → See step   2 

  2. PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
