Stop Light Switch Circuit: Procedure
- CHECK STOP LIGHT (OPERATION)
- Confirm that the stop lights illuminate correctly.
OK
Stop light operation is normal
NG → See step 4
OK: Go to next step
- Confirm that the stop lights illuminate correctly.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (VEHICLE APPROACHING SPEAKER CONTROLLER - STOP LIGHT CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY)
- Disconnect the L140 vehicle approaching speaker controller connector.
- Disconnect the A28 stop light control ECU assembly connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition L140-2 (STP) - A28-1 (OUT) Always Below 1 Ω L140-2 (STP) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
