Section 35 (Emission Control System (Service Information) (Plug-In)): Canister: Installation: Installation

  1. INSTALL CHARCOAL CANISTER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Temporarily install the charcoal canister assembly with the guide.
    2. Install the charcoal canister assembly with the 3 bolts.

      Torque: 19 N*m (194 kgf*cm, 14 ft.*lbf) 

    3. Connect the wire harness clamp and connector.
    4. Connect the purge line hose.

    5. Connect the vent line hose clamp and vent hose.
      NOTE:
      • Check that there are no scratches or foreign matter around the connected part of the tube connector and pipe before performing this work.
      • After connecting the vent line hose, check that the vent line hose is securely connected by pulling on the tube connector and pipe.
    6. Connect the vent line hose and air line tube.
      NOTE:
      • Check that there are no scratches or foreign matter around the connected part of the tube connector and pipe before performing this work.
      • After connecting the vent line hose and air line tube, check that the vent line hose and air line tube are securely connected by pulling on the tube connector and pipe.
    7. Connect the vent line tube.
      NOTE:
      • Check that there are no scratches or foreign matter around the connected part of the tube connector and pipe before performing this work.
      • After connecting the vent line tube, check that the vent line tube is securely connected by pulling the vent line tube connector and pipe.
  2. INSTALL NO. 1 FLOOR UNDER COVER 
    1. Install the No. 1 floor under cover with the nut and 5 clips.

      Torque: 5.4 N*m (55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf) 

    2. Connect the 3 clamps.
  3. CONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected. Refer to INITIALIZATION .

  4. INSTALL DECK FLOOR BOX RH  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 54
  5. INSTALL REAR NO. 3 FLOOR BOARD  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 55
