Audio Receiver Assembly Communication Stop Mode: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS WIRES (RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY BRANCH WIRE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the radio and display receiver assembly connector.

      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Radio and Display Receiver Assembly)
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      L189-9 (CANH) - L189-10 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN MAIN BUS BRANCH WIRE OR CONNECTOR (RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY) 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (GROUND TERMINAL) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      *A for 6 Speakers
      *B for 8 Speakers
      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Radio and Display Receiver Assembly)

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L191-7 (GND1) - Body ground*1
      L146-20 (GND1) - Body ground*2
      Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal Below 1 Ω

      *1: for 6 Speakers

      *2: for 8 Speakers

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (GROUND TERMINAL) 

    OK: Go to next step 

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE TERMINAL) 
    1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      *A for 6 Speakers
      *B for 8 Speakers

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L191-4 (+B1) - Body ground*1
      L146-1 (+B1) - Body ground*2
      Power switch off 11 to 14 V
      L191-3 (ACC1) - Body ground*1
      L146-11 (ACC1) - Body ground*2
      Power switch on (ACC) 11 to 14 V
      L189-1 (IG) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V

      *1: for 6 Speakers

      *2: for 8 Speakers

      Result

      OK (w/ Navigation system (for Radio and display type)) A
      OK (w/ Audio and visual system) B
      NG C

    C → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT)

  4. REPLACE RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL 
  5. REPLACE RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL
