Plugin Charge Control ECU Communication Stop Mode: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS WIRES (PLUGIN CHARGE CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY MAIN WIRE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the plugin charge control ECU assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      S31-25 (CA1H) - S31-26 (CA1L) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω
      TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION

      *a Rear view of wire harness connector
      (to Plugin Charge Control ECU Assembly)

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN MAIN BUS WIRE OR CONNECTOR (PLUGIN CHARGE CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY MAIN WIRE) 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK PLUGIN CHARGE CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT 
    1. Check the plugin charge control ECU assembly power source circuit. Refer to ECU Power Source Circuit .

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 

    OK → See step   3 

  3. REPLACE PLUGIN CHARGE CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL
