Steering Angle Sensor: Installation: Installation

  1. INSTALL SPIRAL CABLE WITH SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly. Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 1 .
      NOTE:
      • Do not replace the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly with the auxiliary battery connected and the power switch on (IG).
      • Do not rotate the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly with the auxiliary battery connected and the power switch on (IG).
      • Ensure that the steering wheel is installed and aligned straight when inspecting the steering angle sensor.
      • Do not remove the steering angle sensor from the spiral cable.
  2. INSTALL UPPER STEERING COLUMN COVER  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 12
  3. INSTALL LOWER STEERING COLUMN COVER  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 13
  4. ALIGN FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD 
  5. ADJUST SPIRAL CABLE WITH SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 5
  6. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 8
