Navigation ECU Communication Stop Mode: Procedure

  1. CHECK CAN BUS WIRE FOR DISCONNECTION (NAVIGATION ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY BRANCH WIRE) 
    1. Turn the power switch off.
    2. Disconnect the navigation ECU sub-assembly connector.

      *1 Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Navigation ECU Sub-assembly)
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      L130-9 (CANH) - L130-10 (CANL) Power switch off 54 to 69 Ω

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BUS BRANCH WIRE OR CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY BRANCH WIRE) 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE TERMINAL) 
    1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      *1 Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Navigation ECU Sub-assembly)

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L127-4 (+B1) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
      L127-3 (ACC1) - Body ground Power switch on (ACC) 11 to 14 V
      L130-1 (IG) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE TERMINAL) 

    OK: Go to next step 

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (GROUND TERMINAL) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L127-7 (GND1) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      OK (for Navigation receiver type) A
      OK (for Radio and display type) B
      NG C

    B → See step   5 

    C → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (GROUND TERMINAL) 

    A → See step   4 

  4. REPLACE NAVIGATION ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL 
  5. REPLACE NAVIGATION ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL
