Frame Wire: Installation: Installation

  1. INSTALL FRAME WIRE 
    WARNING:

    Wear insulated gloves.

    NOTE:

    Insulate the removed terminals with insulating tape.

    1. Install the frame wire with the 4 new clamps.

    2. Insert the frame wire into the floor panel hole.

      *a Front Side

      HINT: 

      The arrow should be pointing toward the front of the vehicle.

    3. Install the bolt.

      Torque: 8.4 N*m (85 kgf*cm, 74 in.*lbf) 

    4. Install the nut and clamp.

      Torque: 8.4 N*m (85 kgf*cm, 74 in.*lbf) 

    5. Install the nut and 2 clamps.

      Torque: 8.4 N*m (85 kgf*cm, 74 in.*lbf) 

    6. Install the heater water pipe sub-assembly with the nut.

      Torque: 9.8 N*m (100 kgf*cm, 87 in.*lbf) 

    7. Connect the clamp.

    8. Connect the clamp.

    9. Connect the connector to the engine room junction block assembly.

    10. Connect the 2 wire harness clamps to the floor panel.

    11. Connect the clamp to the floor panel to install the wire harness protector.

    12. Connect the shielded wire ground.

    13. Using an insulated tool, install the frame wire on the hybrid battery junction block assembly with the 2 nuts.

      Torque: 9.0 N*m (92 kgf*cm, 80 in.*lbf) 

      NOTE:
      • Make sure that the ends of the frame wire are not crossed over each other.
      • Be sure to connect the ends of the frame wire to the connect terminals.
    14. Connect the 3 clamps.

    15. Connect the 2 clamps.

  2. CONNECT ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGER WIRE  See step  5
  3. CONNECT CABLE TO POSITIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 
    1. Connect the cable with the nut.

      Torque: 7.6 N*m (77 kgf*cm, 67 in.*lbf) 

    2. Install the terminal cover.
  4. INSTALL NO. 2 HYBRID VEHICLE BATTERY SHIELD PANEL  See step  10
  5. INSTALL DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY RH  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 18
  6. INSTALL TONNEAU COVER HOLDER CAP (for RH Side) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side. Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 15 .

  7. INSTALL LUGGAGE HOLD BELT STRIKER ASSEMBLY (for RH Side) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side. Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 16 .

  8. INSTALL REAR SIDE SEAT BACK ASSEMBLY RH  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 5
  9. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 7
  10. INSTALL REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 47
  11. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side. Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 38 .

  12. INSTALL REAR DECK TRIM COVER  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 21
  13. INSTALL DECK TRIM SERVICE HOLE COVER  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 22
  14. INSTALL REAR NO. 1 FLOOR BOARD  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 23
  15. INSTALL REAR NO. 1 FLOOR BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 24
  16. INSTALL REAR NO. 2 FLOOR BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 25
  17. INSTALL TONNEAU COVER ASSEMBLY (w/ Tonneau Cover)  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 28
  18. INSTALL DECK FLOOR BOX LH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the RH side. Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 54 .

  19. INSTALL REAR NO. 4 FLOOR BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 27
  20. INSTALL REAR NO. 2 FLOOR BOARD  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 56
  21. INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER BRACE REAR RH 
    1. Using a transmission jack, hold the front suspension cross member.
      NOTE:

      Be sure to position the transmission jack to properly support the front suspension cross member.

    2. Install the front suspension member brace rear RH with a new bolt (A) and the 2 bolts (B).

      Bolt A 

      Torque: 137 N*m (1397 kgf*cm, 101 ft.*lbf) 

      Bolt B 

      Torque: 93 N*m (948 kgf*cm, 69 ft.*lbf) 

    3. Install the clip.
  22. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR COVER CENTER RH 
    1. Install the front center floor cover RH with the 3 clips.
  23. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR COVER RH 
    1. Install the front floor cover RH with the 4 clips.
    2. Install the bolt.
  24. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR 
    1. Install the No. 1 front floor heat insulator with the 3 nuts.
  25. INSTALL FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to INSTALLATION .

  26. INSTALL INVERTER WITH CONVERTER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to INSTALLATION .
