Operation Check

  1. OPERATION CHECK OF REMOTE A/C SWITCH ON THE KEY (ELECTRICAL TRANSMITTER) 

    HINT: 

    The remote climate control system does not operate unless the required operating conditions are met. Therefore, confirm that the operating conditions are met before performing the inspection. Refer to SYSTEM DESCRIPTION .

    1. Activation Control Check
      1. Press and hold the remote A/C switch on the key (electrical transmitter) once for 0.8 seconds or more to start the air conditioning system.

        HINT: 

        The wireless door lock system locks all doors before the remote climate control system is activated.

    2. Operation Check
      1. Check that the remote climate control system operates for a maximum of 10 minutes.

        HINT: 

        The operating time differs depending on the HV battery state of charge.

    3. Stop Control Check
      1. Press the remote A/C switch on the key (electrical transmitter) twice briefly within 3 seconds to stop the remote climate control system.

        HINT: 

        • When any of the operating conditions are not met during remote climate control system operation, the remote climate control system will stop.
        • When 10 minutes have elapsed after the remote climate control system was started, the remote climate control system will stop. Some operating conditions may result in the remote climate control system being stopped before 10 minutes elapses.
    4. Inspection of the Remote A/C Switch on the Key (Electrical Transmitter)
      NOTE:
      • Use 2 keys (electrical transmitters).
      • Confirm that the wireless door lock functions operate normally.
      1. Prepare 2 registered keys (electrical transmitters), and label one of them A, and the other one B.

      2. Operate the remote A/C switch on key (electrical transmitter) A and check that the remote climate control system can be operated.
      3. Operate the remote A/C switch on key (electrical transmitter) B and check that the remote climate control system can be operated.

        HINT: 

        • If the remote climate control system is not operated for both keys (electrical transmitters) A and B, the remote climate control system may have a malfunction. Refer to PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE .
        • If the remote climate control system is not operated for one of the keys (electrical transmitter) A or B, the key (electrical transmitter) needs to be replaced because a malfunction of the remote A/C switch on the key (electrical transmitter) is suspected.
  2. OPERATION CHECK OF SMART PHONE (MOBILE PHONE TERMINAL) 

    HINT: 

    The remote climate control system does not operate unless the required operating conditions are met. Therefore, confirm that the operating conditions are met before performing the inspection. Refer to SYSTEM DESCRIPTION .

    1. Activation Control Check
      1. Operate the smart phone (mobile phone terminal) and check that the remote climate control system operates.

        HINT: 

        When the remote climate control system operates, the result will be sent to the smart phone (mobile phone terminal).

    2. Operation Check
      1. Check that the remote climate control system operates for a maximum of 10 minutes.
    3. Stop Control Check
      1. Operate the smart phone (mobile phone terminal) and check that the remote climate control system is stopped.
