Throttle Body: Removal: Removal

  1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER 
  2. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (for Engine)  . Refer to REPLACEMENT - Step 2
  3. REMOVE NO. 2 CYLINDER HEAD COVER  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 29
  4. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the connector.

    2. Loosen the hose clamp and disconnect the air cleaner hose assembly.

    3. Remove the 2 clamps and air cleaner cap subassembly.
  5. REMOVE INLET AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and inlet air cleaner assembly.

  6. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE 
    1. Remove the air cleaner filter element sub-assembly.
    2. Separate the hose from the 3 clamps.

    3. Remove the 3 bolts and air cleaner case.
  7. REMOVE AIR CLEANER HOSE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the ventilation hose from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly.

    2. Loosen the hose clamp and remove the air cleaner hose assembly.
  8. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY 
    1. Type A:
      1. Disconnect the throttle body connector and the 2 water by-pass hoses.

      2. Remove the 2 bolts, 2 nuts and throttle body assembly.
      3. Remove the gasket from the intake manifold.

    2. Type B:
      1. Disconnect the connector.

      2. Disconnect the No. 1 water by-pass hose and No. 2 water bypass hose.
      3. Remove the 4 bolts and throttle body assembly.
      4. Remove the gasket from the intake manifold.
