How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

HINT: 

• Use these procedures to troubleshoot the push-button start function.
• *: Use the Techstream.

1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP 

   NEXT: Go to next step 

2. INSPECT AUXILIARY BATTERY VOLTAGE 

   Standard voltage

   11 to 14 V

   If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the auxiliary battery before proceeding.

   NEXT: Go to next step 

3. INSPECT COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM* 
   1. Using the Techstream, check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally. Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM .

      CAN DTC is not output	A
      CAN DTC is output	B

      B → GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING). Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING 

      A: Go to next step 

4. INSPECT COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM* 
   1. Use the GTS to check if the LIN communication system is functioning normally.

      LIN DTC is output	B

      B → GO TO LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING). Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING

5. CHECK FOR DTC* 
   1. Check for DTCs and write down any stored DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
   2. Clear the DTCs.
   3. Check whether output of the same DTC(s), relevant to the EV or smart key systems, recurs by reproducing the symptoms indicated by the DTC(s) written down in the first step above.
