Engine Control System (2GR-FE) (Service Information): ECM: Removal: Removal
NOTE:
Perform the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) registration when replacing the ECM. Refer to REGISTRATION .
- REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY
Refer to REMOVAL
- REMOVE FRONT OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 10
- REMOVE AIR CLEANER INLET COVER ASSEMBLY SEAL See step 6
- REMOVE AIR CLEANER AND HOSE See step 7
- REMOVE ECM
- While slightly pushing portion A of the lever of the ECM connector, turn the lever until it makes a click sound.
- Disconnect the 2 ECM connectors.NOTE:
After disconnecting the connectors, make sure that dirt, water or other foreign matter does not contact the connecting part of the connectors.
- Remove the 3 bolts and the ECM with the brackets.
- REMOVE ECM BRACKET
- Remove the 2 screws and the ECM bracket.
- REMOVE NO. 2 ECM BRACKET
- Remove the 3 screws and the No. 2 ECM bracket.
