Engine Control System (1GR-FE) (Service Information): ECM: Removal: Removal
NOTE:
- Perform RESET MEMORY (AT initialization) when replacing the automatic transmission assembly, engine assembly or ECM.Refer to INITIALIZATION .
- Perform REGISTRATION (VIN registration) when replacing the ECM.Refer to REGISTRATION .
- If the ECM has been replaced or RESET MEMORY (AT initialization) has been performed, set up the function of the ATF (Automatic Transmission Fluid) temperature warning light.Refer to INITIALIZATION .
- Perform the Throttle body initialization when replacing the ECM See step 7.
- REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 43
- REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY LOWER RH . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 44
- REMOVE ECM
- Disconnect the 6 ECM connectors, 6 No. 2 junction block connectors and wire harness clamp.
- Remove the 2 bolts and nut and the ECM.
- REMOVE NO. 2 JUNCTION BLOCK
- Remove the bolt.
- Disengage the claw and remove the No. 2 junction block.
- REMOVE NO. 2 ECM BRACKET
- Remove the 2 screws and the No. 2 ECM bracket.
- REMOVE ECM BRACKET
- Remove the 2 screws and the ECM bracket.
