SFI System: Precaution: Precaution
- INITIALIZATION NOTE:
- If the ECM is replaced, register the ECU communication ID for Immobilizer System. Refer to REGISTRATION .
- Perform the Reset Memory (AT initialization) when replacing the automatic transmission assembly, engine assembly or ECM. Refer to INITIALIZATION for 2WD. Refer to INITIALIZATION for 4WD).
- Perform the Registration (VIN registration) when replacing the ECM. Refer to REGISTRATION .
- If the ECM has been replaced or Reset Memory (AT initialization) has been performed, set up the function of the ATF (Automatic Transmission Fluid) temperature warning light. Refer to INITIALIZATION for 4WD).
- Perform initialization (throttle position) after replacing the throttle body or cleaning any throttle body components. Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 7 .
- Perform initialization (throttle position) after reconnecting the battery cable or replacing the ECM. Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 7 .
HINT:
Initialization cannot be completed by only disconnecting and reconnecting the cable of the negative (-) battery terminal.
- WHEN USING TECHSTREAM WARNING:
Observe the following items for safety reasons:
- Before using the Techstream, read the instruction manual.
- Prevent the Techstream cable from being caught on the pedals, shift lever and steering wheel when driving with the Techstream connected to the vehicle.
- When driving the vehicle for testing purposes using the Techstream, 2 persons are required. One person drives the vehicle, and the other operates the Techstream.
