REPAIR INSTRUCTION (for Sedan): Initialization: Initialization

  1. PROCEDURES NECESSARY WHEN ECU OR OTHER PARTS ARE REPLACED

    ECM ECU communication ID registration
    (Engine immobiliser system)
    Engine starting Refer to REGISTRATION
    • ECM or Throttle body assembly
    • Throttle body is cleaned
    Initialization - Refer to PRECAUTION
    Automatic transaxle assembly, engine assembly or ECM
    • Road test
    • Reset memory
    Large shift shock Refer to INITIALIZATION
    • Power steering ECU
    • Power steering column assembly
    • Steering wheel
    • Steering gear assembly
    Perform rotation angle sensor initialization and torque sensor zero point calibration
    • Power steering warning light comes on
    • EPS control
    Refer to CALIBRATION
    • Door control receiver assembly
    • Key
    Code registration Wireless door lock control system Refer to REGISTRATION
    • Transponder key ECU
    • Key
    ECU communication ID registration
    (Engine immobiliser system)

    • Occupant classification ECU
    • Accessories (seatback tray and seat cover, etc.) are installed
    • Front passenger seat is removed from the vehicle
    • Vehicle is brought to the workshop for repair due to an accident or a collision
    • Perform zero point calibration
    • Sensitivity check
    • Occupant classification system
    • Airbag system (Front passenger side)
    • Seat belt warning system (Front passenger side)
