P0116	Engine Coolant Temperature Circuit Range / Performance	Either of the following conditions is met (2 trip detection logic): When engine is started cold and warmed up, the engine coolant temperature sensor value does not change. After the warmed up engine is stopped and then next cold engine start is performed, the engine coolant temperature sensor value does not change. For Mexico Models: Case 1: The engine coolant temperature is between 35 and 60°C (95 and 140°F) when the engine is started, and both of the following conditions are met (2 trip detection logic) (a) Vehicle driven at varying speeds (accelerated and decelerated) (b) Engine coolant temperature remains within 3°C (5.4°F) of initial engine coolant temperature Case 2: The engine coolant temperature is higher than 60°C (140°F) when the engine is started, and both of the following conditions are met (6 trip detection logic) (a) Vehicle driven at varying speeds (accelerated and decelerated) (b) Engine coolant temperature measurements remain within 1°C (1.8°F) of initial engine coolant temperature on 6 successive occasions	Thermostat Engine coolant temperature sensor	Comes on	DTC stored	DTC for Mexico Models - Applies

Engine Coolant Temperature Circuit Range / Performance

Either of the following conditions is met (2 trip detection logic):

When engine is started cold and warmed up, the engine coolant temperature sensor value does not change.
After the warmed up engine is stopped and then next cold engine start is performed, the engine coolant temperature sensor value does not change.

For Mexico Models:
Case 1:
The engine coolant temperature is between 35 and 60°C (95 and 140°F) when the engine is started, and both of the following conditions are met (2 trip detection logic)

(a) Vehicle driven at varying speeds (accelerated and decelerated)
(b) Engine coolant temperature remains within 3°C (5.4°F) of initial engine coolant temperature

Case 2:
The engine coolant temperature is higher than 60°C (140°F) when the engine is started, and both of the following conditions are met (6 trip detection logic)

(a) Vehicle driven at varying speeds (accelerated and decelerated)
(b) Engine coolant temperature measurements remain within 1°C (1.8°F) of initial engine coolant temperature on 6 successive occasions
