DTC P0505: Idle Control System [08/2013 - ]: Procedure
- CHECK ANY OTHER DTCS OUTPUT (IN ADDITION TO DTC P0505)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Trouble Codes.
- Read DTCs.RESULT
Result Proceed to P0505 is output A P0505 and other DTCs are output B HINT:
If any DTCs other than P0505 are output, troubleshoot those DTCs first.

- CHECK PCV HOSE CONNECTIONS. Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE PCV HOSE
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK INTAKE SYSTEM. Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE INTAKE SYSTEM
OK: Go to next step
- INSPECT THROTTLE WITH MOTOR BODY ASSEMBLY (THROTTLE VALVE)
- Check the throttle with motor body assembly condition.
OK
Throttle valve is not contaminated with foreign objects and moves smoothly.
HINT:
Perform "Inspection After Repair" after replacing the throttle with motor body assembly. Refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2013 - ] .
NG → See step 7
OK: Go to next step
- Check the throttle with motor body assembly condition.
- CONFIRM WHETHER DTC OUTPUT RECURS
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Drive the vehicle in accordance with the driving pattern described in Confirmation Driving Pattern.
- Read DTCs.RESULT
Result Proceed to DTC P0505 is output A No DTC is output B

- REPLACE THROTTLE WITH MOTOR BODY ASSEMBLY. Refer to REMOVAL [08/2013 - ]
