Washer Signal Circuit [10/2013 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK OPERATION 
    1. Check the operation of the front wiper and washer system.

      OK

      Front wiper and washer system operates normally.

    NG → See step   4 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH ASSEMBLY - RELAY) 
    1. Disconnect the A44 headlight cleaner control relay connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A44-5 (FRWA) - Body ground Front washer switch off 11 to 14 V
      Front washer switch on Below 1 V
      TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION

      *1 Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Headlight Cleaner Control Relay)

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK → See step   3 

  3. PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE [10/2013 - ]  
  4. GO TO PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE [10/2013 - ]
