DTC B1790: Center Airbag Sensor Assembly Communication Circuit Malfunction [10/2013 - ]: Description

The center airbag sensor assembly communication circuit consists of the occupant detection ECU and airbag ECU assembly.

DTC B1790 is stored when a malfunction is detected in the center airbag sensor assembly communication circuit.

  • The occupant detection ECU receives a line short circuit signal, an open circuit signal, a short circuit to ground signal or a short circuit to B+ signal in the airbag ECU assembly communication circuit.
  • Occupant detection ECU malfunction

HINT: 

When DTC B1650/32 is detected as a result of troubleshooting for the airbag system, check the DTCs stored in the occupant detection ECU. When DTC B1790 is output, perform troubleshooting for the DTC.
