  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (DTC P0AFC-123 IS OUTPUT) See step   1 

    B → GO TO DTC CHART 

    A: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK BATTERY SMART UNIT 
    1. Ensure the safety of the areas in front and at the back of the vehicle.
    2. Apply the parking brake and secure the wheels using chocks.
    3. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    4. Turn the power switch on (READY).
    5. Fully warm up the engine and turn the air conditioning off.
    6. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Data List / Battery Block Vol -V01 to V14.
    7. Firmly depress the brake pedal with your left foot.
    8. Move the shift lever to D.
    9. Record each battery block voltage from the Data List "Battery Block Vol -V01 to V14" while fully depressing the accelerator pedal.
    10. Compare the battery block voltages "Battery Block Vol -V01 to V14" between the even and odd number groups in each combination shown in the table below.

      HINT: 

      When an internal malfunction occurs in the battery smart unit, this symptom (difference in voltage of 0.3 V or more for all 7 pairs of blocks) will occur.

    11. Turn the power switch off.

  3. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (DTC P3015-123 IS OUTPUT) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
    4. Check if DTCs are output.
      RESULT

      Result Proceed to
      DTC P3015-123 is output. A
      DTC P3015-123 is not output. B
    5. Turn the power switch off.

    B → See step   4 

    A → REPLACE SERVICE PLUG GRIP AND HV BATTERY ASSEMBLY 

  4. REPLACE HV BATTERY ASSEMBLY. Refer to  COMPONENTS [10/2013 - ] 
  5. REPLACE BATTERY SMART UNIT. Refer to  COMPONENTS [10/2013 - ]
