Back Door Entry Unlock Function does not Operate [08/2013 - ]: Procedure

1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
3. Turn the Techstream on.
4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Smart Key / Data List.
5. Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

1. When the door control switch on the multiplex network master switch assembly is operated, check that the doors unlock and lock according to the switch operation. Refer to OPERATION CHECK [08/2013 - ] .

   OK

   Door locks operate normally.

OK: Go to next step 

1. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Active Test.
2. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the Techstream.

   The back door lock assembly unlatches when ON is selected.

1. Using the Techstream, read the Data List. Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [08/2013 - ] .

Use this Data List item to help determine if there is a switch malfunction when the back door unlock function does not operate.

   The Techstream display changes correctly in response to the operation of the back door opener switch assembly.

1. Disconnect the V4 back door opener switch assembly connector.
2. Disconnect the L62 certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   V4-3 (UL) - L62-22 (TSW5)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   V4-2 (E) - Body ground	Always	Below 1 Ω
   V4-3 (UL) or L62-22 (TSW5) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

OK: Go to next step 

1. Remove the back door opener switch assembly. Refer to REMOVAL [08/2013 - ] .

2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance
