Room Oscillator does not Recognize Key [09/2013 - ]: Description

If the entry ignition function does not operate, place the key in the vehicle and check whether the EV system starts. If the EV system starts (the ID code box [immobiliser code ECU] outputs a start permission signal to the EV system and the EV system starts), it can be assumed that only the entry ignition system is malfunctioning.

The certification ECU (ECU aggregation box assembly) uses the indoor electrical key oscillator to send a request signal to the key when: 1) the driver side door is opened and closed, or 2) the power switch is turned from on (IG) to off or off to on (IG). Then, the key transmits its ID code to the door control receiver. The ID code, which is then sent to the certification ECU (ECU aggregation box assembly), is verified by the certification ECU (ECU aggregation box assembly) and the verification result is sent to the ID code box (immobiliser code ECU). Turning the power switch from on (IG) to off stops the EV system.

The ID code box (immobiliser code ECU) and the certification ECU (ECU aggregation box assembly) communicate encryption codes to each other using the LIN communication line. When the return code from the certification ECU (ECU aggregation box assembly) matches the ID code in the memory, the ID code box (immobiliser code ECU) sends an EV system start permission signal to the power management control ECU. With the brake pedal depressed, pressing the power switch starts the EV system. With the EV system starts, pressing the power switch stops EV system.
