Removal [04/2014 - 08/2017]: Procedure

  1. ALIGN FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD 
  2. REMOVE HORN BUTTON ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [08/2013 - ]

  3. REMOVE STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the steering wheel assembly set nut.

      *a Matchmark
    2. Put matchmarks on the steering wheel assembly and steering main shaft.
    3. Disconnect each connector from the spiral cable sub-assembly.
    4. Using SST, remove the steering wheel assembly.

      *a Turn
      *b Hold
      • SST: 09950-50013 
        1. 09951-05010
        2. 09952-05010
        3. 09953-05020
        4. 09954-05070
      NOTE:

      Apply a small amount of grease to the threads and tip of SST (09953-05020) before use.

  4. REMOVE STEERING PAD SWITCH ASSEMBLY 

    See step  2

  5. REMOVE CRUISE CONTROL MAIN SWITCH (w/ Cruise Control System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  6. REMOVE CRUISE CONTROL SWITCH WIRE (w/ Cruise Control System) 
    1. Remove the cruise control switch wire.
  7. REMOVE SHIFT PADDLE SWITCH (TRANSMISSION SHIFT SWITCH ASSEMBLY) (w/ Shift Paddle Switch) 
    1. Remove the 2 screws from the steering wheel assembly.

      *a Guide
    2. Disengage the guide from the steering wheel assembly.
    3. Disengage the 5 guides to remove the 2 shift paddle switches (transmission shift switch assemblies) with No. 1 switch wire from the steering wheel assembly.
