- INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE
Standard voltage
11 to 14 V
If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding.

- INSPECT COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM*
- Using the Techstream, check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally. Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [08/2014 - ]

Result Proceed to DTC is not output A DTC is output B B → GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART). Refer to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [08/2014 - ]

- Using the Techstream, check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally. Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [08/2014 - ]

- CHECK FOR DTC*
- Check for DTCs and note any stored DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2014 - ] .
- Clear the DTCs.
- Check whether the same DTC(s) relevant to the SFI system or smart key system recurs by reproducing the symptoms indicated by the noted DTC(s) in the first step above.RESULT
Result Proceed to DTC output does not reoccur A SFI system DTC output reoccurs B Smart key system DTC output reoccurs C B → GO TO SFI SYSTEM (DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART). Refer to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [08/2014 - ]
