  1. CHECK AUTOMATIC RUNNING BOARD OPERATION 
    1. Confirm the operation of the automatic running board and proceed to the steps indicated below.

      Result

      The side auto step motor turns over at high speed for 4 seconds and then stops. (The automatic running board does note move) A
      The side auto step motor turns over at high speed for 4 seconds and then stops. (The automatic running board is stowed or deployed) B
      The side auto step motor turns over at low speed for 4 seconds and then stops. (The automatic running board stops partway during stowing or deploying operation) C

    Result: 

    REPLACE SIDE AUTO STEP MOTOR ASSEMBLY

  2. INSPECT POWER LIFT STEP ASSEMBLY 
    1. Check that the links of the power lift step assembly are properly installed.
    2. Check that the links of the power lift step assembly are not damaged.

      OK

      Links of the power lift step assembly are properly installed.

      Links of the power lift step assembly are not damaged.

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE SIDE AUTO STEP MOTOR ASSEMBLY 

    (Refer to REMOVAL [08/2015 - ] )

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE POWER LIFT STEP ASSEMBLY 

    (Refer to REMOVAL [08/2015 - ] )

  3. INSPECT POWER LIFT STEP ASSEMBLY 
    1. Check that the links of the power lift step assembly are properly installed.
    2. Check that the links of the power lift step assembly are not damaged.
    3. Check that there is no dirt or foreign matter jamming the power lift step assembly links.

      HINT: 

      • In cold times, snow or ice may jam the power lift step assembly links and prevent them from moving smoothly.
      • Clean any dirt and foreign matter jamming the moving link sections of the power lift step assembly if necessary.

      OK

      Links of the power lift step assembly are properly installed.

      Links of the power lift step assembly are not damaged.

      There is no dirt or foreign matter jamming the moving sections of the power lift step assembly links.

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE SIDE AUTO STEP MOTOR ASSEMBLY
