Steering Angle Sensor Communication Stop Mode [06/2016 - ]: Procedure
- CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (STEERING ANGLE SENSOR (SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY) BRANCH WIRE)
- Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Disconnect the D56 steering angle sensor (spiral cable sub-assembly) connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition D56-3 (CANH) - D56-2 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 57 to 63 Ω TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION*a Front view of wire harness connector

- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

(to Steering Angle Sensor (Spiral Cable Sub-assembly)) - Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
