How To Proceed With Troubleshooting [06/2016 - ]: Procedure

  1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP

  2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE 
    1. Measure the battery voltage with the ignition switch off.

      Standard Voltage

      11 to 14 V

      If the voltage is below 11 V, replace or recharge the battery before proceeding to the next step.

  3. CHECK COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF CONTROLLER AREA NETWORK (CAN)* 
    1. Use the Techstream to check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally.

      CAN DTC is not output A
      CAN DTC is output B

    Result: 

    GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [06/2016 - 03/2017]  Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [03/2017 - ]

  4. CHECK FOR DTC* 

    Refer to DTC Check / Clear.

    Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2016 - ] 

    1. Check for DTCs and note any codes that are output.
    2. Clear the DTCs.
    3. Recheck for DTCs. Try to reproduce the DTCs by duplicating the conditions indicated by the DTCs.

  5. ROAD TEST 
    1. Perform the road test.

      Refer to ROAD TEST [06/2016 - ] 

    2. Check that cruise control is not canceled by other than canceling operations by the driver.

      Cruise control is not cancelled B

  6. CHECK "CANCEL CODE"* 

    HINT: 

    The driver's history of canceling cruise control is also stored.

    1. Check "CANCEL CODE".
