Navigation Receiver Assembly Communication Stop Mode [10/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (NAVIGATION ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY BRANCH LINE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the E20 navigation ECU sub-assembly connector.

      (to Navigation ECU Sub-assembly)
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E20-9 (CANH) - E20-10 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH LINE OR CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY) 

    Result: 

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 
    1. Disconnect the E17 Navigation ECU sub-assembly connector.

      (to Navigation ECU Sub-assembly)
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E17-7 (GND1) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal Below 1 Ω
    3. Reconnect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      (to Navigation ECU Sub-assembly)

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E17-3 (ACC1) - Body ground Engine switch on (ACC) 11 to 14 V
      E17-4 (+B1) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
      E20-1 (IG) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE NAVIGATION ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2014 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT)
