Audio Receiver Assembly Communication Stop Mode [10/2014 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY BRANCH LINE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the E5 radio and display receiver assembly connector.

      TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION

      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Radio and Display Receiver Assembly)
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E5-9 (CANH) - E5-10 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH LINES OR CONNECTOR (RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY) 

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 
    1. Disconnect the E1 radio and display receiver assembly connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E1-7 (GND1) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal Below 1 Ω
    3. Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
    4. Measure the voltage according to the value (s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E1-3 (ACC1) - Body ground Engine switch on (ACC) 11 to 14 V
      E1-4 (+B1) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
      E5-1 (IG) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V

    OK 

    REPLACE RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT)
