Data Signal Circuit between Navigation Receiver Assembly and Extension Module [10/2014 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK NAVIGATION WIRE NO. 1 
    1. Remove the navigation wire (Refer to REMOVAL [10/2014 - ] ).
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      *a Front view of navigation wire connector
      (to Navigation ECU Sub-assembly)
      *b Front view of navigation wire connector
      (to Stereo Component Tuner Assembly)

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      U7-1 (USV4) - U12-1 (USV4) Always Below 1 Ω
      U7-2 (US4-) - U12-2 (US4-) Always Below 1 Ω
      U7-3 (US4+) - U12-3 (US4+) Always Below 1 Ω
      U7-4 (UGD4) - U12-4 (UGD4) Always Below 1 Ω
      U7-5 (USG4) - U12-5 (USG4) Always Below 1 Ω
      U7-1 (USV4) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      U7-2 (US4-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      U7-3 (US4+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      U7-4 (UGO4) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      U7-5 (USG4) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    Result: 

    OK 

    PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 

    (Refer to PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE [10/2014 - 10/2015] or PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE [10/2015 - ] )

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE NAVIGATION WIRE NO. 1
