Data Signal Circuit between Navigation Receiver Assembly and Stereo Jack Adapter [10/2014 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY - NO. 1 STEREO JACK ADAPTER ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the E21 navigation ECU sub-assembly connector.

      TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION

      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Navigation ECU Sub-assembly)
      *b Front view of wire harness connector
      (to No. 1 Stereo Jack Adapter Assembly)
    2. Disconnect the E15 No. 1 stereo jack adapter assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E21-2 (UDO-) - E15-2 (UDO-) Always Below 1 Ω
      E21-3 (UDO+) - E15-3 (UDO+) Always Below 1 Ω
      E21-5 (USG1) - E15-5 (USG1) Always Below 1 Ω
      E21-2 (UDO-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      E21-3 (UDO+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      E21-5 (USG1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    Result: 

    OK 

    PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 

    (Refer to PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE [10/2014 - 10/2015] or PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE [10/2015 - ] )

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
