Certification ECU Communication Stop Mode [08/2013 - ]: Procedure
- CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (CERTIFICATION ECU (SMART KEY ECU ASSEMBLY) BRANCH LINE)
- Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Disconnect the E59 certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) connector.

(to Certification ECU (Smart Key ECU Assembly)) - Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition E59-14 (CANH) - E59-15 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω

REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BUS BRANCH WIRE OR CONNECTOR (CERTIFICATION ECU (SMART KEY ECU ASSEMBLY))

- Disconnect the E57 certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) connector.

Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition E57-11 (E) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal Below 1 Ω - Reconnect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
