DTC C1AA8: Front Camera Module Incorrect Axial Gap; DTC C1AA9: Front Camera Module Beam Axis Not Adjusted [08/2016 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR DTCS 
    1. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2016 - ]

      Chassis > PCS/LDA/RSA/LVN > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      Current DTC C1AA8 or History DTC C1AA8 is output A
      DTC C1AA9 is output B

    Result: 

    B

  2. CHECK VEHICLE OPERATING CONDITION 
    1. Check the operating conditions of the vehicle.

      Result

      Vehicle is not overloaded or being towed. A

  3. CHECK WHEEL ALIGNMENT 
    1. Check the front and rear wheel alignment (toe).

  4. ADJUST WHEEL ALIGNMENT 
    1. Adjust the alignment (toe) of the wheels.

  5. PERFORM PRE-COLLISION CITY SENSOR OPTICAL AXIS LEARNING 
    1. Perform Pre-collision City Sensor Optical Axis Learning.

      Refer to ADJUSTMENT [08/2016 - ]

  6. CHECK FOR DTCS 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Chassis > PCS/LDA/RSA/LVN > Clear DTCs 

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2016 - ]

    2. Make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.

      HINT: 

      If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.

    3. Check for DTCs.

      Chassis > PCS/LDA/RSA/LVN > Trouble Codes 

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2016 - ]

      DTC C1AA8 is not output A
      DTC C1AA8 is output B

    Result:

    REPLACE PRE-COLLISION CITY SENSOR. Refer to  COMPONENTS [08/2016 - ] 

  7. CHECK PRE-COLLISION CITY SENSOR INSTALLATION 
    1. Check the installation condition of the pre-collision city sensor.

      Refer to INSTALLATION [08/2016 - ]

      HINT: 

      If there is a malfunction with the installation condition of the pre-collision city sensor, replace the windshield glass.

      Refer to REMOVAL [08/2016 - ]

      OK

      No deformation or deviation in pre-collision city sensor installation bracket

    Result: 

    OK

  8. REPLACE WINDSHIELD GLASS 
    1. Replace the windshield glass.

      Refer to REMOVAL [08/2016 - ]

  9. PERFORM PRE-COLLISION CITY SENSOR OPTICAL AXIS LEARNING 
    1. Return the vehicle to normal operating conditions.
    2. Perform Pre-collision City Sensor Optical Axis Learning.

      Refer to ADJUSTMENT [08/2016 - ]

  10. CHECK FOR DTCS 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2016 - ]

      Chassis > PCS/LDA/RSA/LVN > Clear DTCs 

    2. Make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.

      HINT: 

      If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.

    3. Check for DTCs.

  11. PERFORM PRE-COLLISION CITY SENSOR OPTICAL AXIS LEARNING 
    1. Perform Pre-collision City Sensor Optical Axis Learning.

      Refer to ADJUSTMENT [08/2016 - ]

  12. CHECK FOR DTCS 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2016 - ]

      Chassis > PCS/LDA/RSA/LVN > Clear DTCs 

    2. Make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.

      HINT: 

      If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.

    3. Check for DTCs.
