DTC C1AA3: Vehicle Speed Sensor Circuit [08/2016 - ]: Description

The pre-collision city sensor receives vehicle speed signals from the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly). When the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) detects a malfunction in a wheel speed sensor, the pre-collision city sensor is notified via CAN communication and DTC C1AA3 is stored.

DTC No. Detection Item DTC Detection Condition Trouble Area
C1AA3 Vehicle Speed Sensor Circuit Both of the following conditions are met:
  1. All of the following conditions are met:
    • 3 seconds have elapsed since the ignition switch was turned to ON.
    • The battery voltage is 10 V or more for 3 seconds or more.
  2. All of the following conditions are met for 1 second or more:
    • Communication between the pre-collision city sensor and skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) is normal.
    • The pre-collision city sensor receives a wheel speed sensor malfunction signal from the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly).
  • Vehicle stability control system
  • Skid control ECU (Brake actuator assembly)
  • Pre-collision city sensor
