Navigation Receiver Assembly Communication Stop Mode [12/2013 - 11/2016]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY BRANCH LINE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the F116 navigation receiver assembly connector.

      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Navigation Receiver Assembly)
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F116-9 (CANH) - F116-10 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω

      Result

      Result 
      OK
      NG

    Result:  2

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH LINE OR CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY) 

    Result:  1

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 
    1. Disconnect the F114 Navigation receiver assembly connector.

      (to Navigation Receiver Assembly)
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F114-7 (GND1) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal Below 1 Ω
    3. Reconnect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F114-3 (ACC1) - Body ground Ignition switch ACC 11 to 14 V
      F114-4 (+B1) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
      F116-1 (IG) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V

      Result

      OK
      NG

    Result:  3

    OK 

    REPLACE NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2013 - ]

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT)
