DTC P062F-46: Internal Control Module EEPROM Calibration / Parameter Memory Failure [11/2016 - ]: Procedure

  1. PERFORM REGISTRATION (ECU EXCHANGE) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Stop and Start / Utility / ECU Exchange.

      Powertrain > Stop and Start > Utility 

      Tester Display
      ECU Exchange
    5. According to the display on the Techstream, download the previous status (the number of starter operations) from the engine stop and start ECU to the Techstream.
      Proceed to
      NEXT

    Result: 

    NEXT 

    Go to next step 

  2. CLEAR DTC 
    1. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Stop and Start / Trouble Codes.
    2. Clear the DTCs.

      Powertrain > Stop and Start > Clear DTCs 

    Result: 

    NEXT 

    Go to next step 

  3. PERFORM REGISTRATION (STARTER EXCHANGE, RESET A/C INFORMATION, DECELERATION SENSOR ZERO POINT CLEAR) 
    1. Clear the number of starter operations.
      1. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Stop and Start / Utility / Starter Exchange.

        Powertrain > Stop and Start > Utility 

        Tester Display
        Starter Exchange
    2. Clear the air conditioning information.
      1. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Stop and Start / Utility / Reset A/C Information.

        Powertrain > Stop and Start > Utility 

        Tester Display
        Reset A/C Information
    3. Clear the zero point calibration data of the deceleration sensor.
      1. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Stop and Start / Utility / Deceleration Sensor Zero Point Clear.

        Powertrain > Stop and Start > Utility 

        Tester Display
        Deceleration Sensor Zero Point Clear

    Result: 

    NEXT 

    Go to next step 

  4. PERFORM REGISTRATION (ECU EXCHANGE) 
    1. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Stop and Start / Utility / ECU Exchange.

      Powertrain > Stop and Start > Utility 

      Tester Display
      ECU Exchange
    2. According to the prompts on the Techstream screen, write the information to the engine stop and start ECU.
    3. Perform air conditioning information learning.

      Refer to REGISTRATION [11/2016 - ]

      HINT: 

      When initialization of the air conditioning information is complete, air conditioning information learning is automatically performed.

    4. Perform deceleration sensor zero point calibration.
      1. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Stop and Start / Utility / Deceleration Sensor Zero Point Calibration.

        Powertrain > Stop and Start > Utility 

        Tester Display
        Deceleration Sensor Zero Point Calibration

    Result: 

    NEXT 

    Go to next step 

  5. CHECK DTC OUTPUT 
    1. Start the engine and warm it up.
    2. Turn the air conditioning system off.
    3. Drive the vehicle at 7 km/h (4 mph) or more.
      WARNING:

      When performing Confirmation Driving Pattern, obey all speed limits and traffic laws.

    4. Depress the brake pedal and stop the vehicle.
    5. Allow the engine to stop by stop and start control. (Keep the shift lever in D.)
    6. Release the brake pedal with the shift lever in D to start the engine.
    7. Check for DTCs.

      Powertrain > Stop and Start > Trouble Codes 

    8. Check the number of starter operations.

      Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [11/2016 - ]

      Powertrain > Stop and Start > Data List
