How To Proceed With Troubleshooting [06/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP

  2. INSPECT AUXILIARY BATTERY VOLTAGE 
    1. Measure the auxiliary battery voltage with the power switch off.

      Standard voltage

      11 to 14 V (IG OFF)

      If the voltage is below 11 V, replace or recharge the auxiliary battery before proceeding to the next step.

  3. CHECK ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE SYSTEM* 
    1. Use the Techstream to check if the electronically controlled brake system is functioning normally.

      Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [06/2015 - ]

      Chassis > ABS/VSC/TRAC > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      Electronically controlled brake system DTCs are not output A
      Electronically controlled brake system DTCs are output B

    Result: 

    GO TO ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE SYSTEM. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [06/2015 - ]

  4. CHECK METER/GAUGE SYSTEM* 
    1. Use the Techstream to check if the Meter/gauge system is functioning normally.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2015 - ]

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      Meter/gauge system DTCs are not output A
      Meter/gauge system DTCs are output B

    Result: 

    GO TO METER / GAUGE SYSTEM. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [06/2015 - ]

  5. CHECK LIGHTING SYSTEM 
    1. Use the Techstream to check if the lighting system is functioning normally.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2015 - 11/2018] , or refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [11/2018 - ]

      Body Electrical > Main Body > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      Lighting system DTCs are not output A
      Lighting system DTCs are output B

    Result: 

    GO TO LIGHTING SYSTEM. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [06/2015 - 11/2018]  , or refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [11/2018 - ]

  6. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM* 
    1. Use the Techstream to check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally.

      Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [06/2015 - 01/2018] , or refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [01/2018 - 11/2018] , or refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [11/2018 - ]

      CAN communication system DTCs are not output A
      CAN communication system DTCs are output B

    Result: 

    GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [06/2015 - 11/2018]  , or refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [11/2018 - ]

  7. CHECK FOR DTC* 
    1. Check for DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2015 - ] 

      Body Electrical > Main Body > Trouble Codes 

      Body Electrical > HL Auto Leveling > Trouble Codes 

    2. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2015 - ] 

      Body Electrical > Main Body > Clear DTCs 

      Body Electrical > HL Auto Leveling > Clear DTCs 

    3. Recheck for DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2015 - ] 

      Body Electrical > Main Body > Trouble Codes 

      Body Electrical > HL Auto Leveling > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      DTC output does not reoccur A
      DTC output reoccurs B

    Result: 

    GO TO DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART. Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [06/2015 - ]

  8. PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 
    1. Refer to Problem Symptoms Table.
