Sound Signal Circuit between Navigation Receiver Assembly and Stereo Component Amplifier [06/2015 - 01/2018]: Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the G59 navigation receiver assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the P49 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G59-1 (FR+) - P49-5 (R+) Always Below 1 Ω
      G59-5 (FR-) - P49-4 (R-) Always Below 1 Ω
      G59-2 (FL+) - P49-3 (L+) Always Below 1 Ω
      G59-6 (FL-) - P49-2 (L-) Always Below 1 Ω
      P49-5 (R+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      P49-4 (R-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      P49-3 (L+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      P49-2 (L-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      P49-6 (SLD) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE [06/2015 - 01/2018]

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
