DTC U0300-51: Internal Control Module Software Incompatibility Not Programmed; DTC U0300-57: Internal Control Module Software Incompatibility Invalid / Incompatible Software Component [11/2018 - ]: Procedure

1. Using the Techstream, check for EV control system DTCs.

   Powertrain > Hybrid Control > Trouble Codes

GO TO HYBRID CONTROL SYSTEM. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [06/2015 - ]

1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
3. Turn the Techstream on.
4. Enter the following menus: System Select / Health Check.
5. Check DTCs.
6. Turn the power switch off.

   OK

   DTCs indicating a vehicle information mismatch with the EV control ECU are not output by any ECU other than the forward recognition camera.

   Result

   NG

NG 

REPLACE EV CONTROL ECU. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2018 - ]

1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
3. Turn the Techstream on.
4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Pre-Collision System / Data List.
5. Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

   HINT: 

   • If the vehicle information stored in the forward recognition camera is different than the actual vehicle specifications, the vehicle information stored in the forward recognition camera may be incorrect. Check for DTCs and replace the forward recognition camera if necessary.
   • If the vehicle information stored in the forward recognition camera matches the actual vehicle specifications, the installed EV control ECU is incompatible. Replace the EV control ECU with a correct one.
