Pre-collision System Circuit [11/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT AUXILIARY BATTERY VOLTAGE
    1. Measure the auxiliary battery voltage with the power switch off.

      Standard voltage

      11 to 14 V

    2. Using the parts location and system diagram, check the system for blown-out fuses, open or short circuits in the wire harness(es) and connectors that are not properly connected by performing a visual check.

      HINT:

If the voltage is 11 V or less, replace or recharge the auxiliary battery before proceeding to the next step.

    NEXT

    See step  2

  2. CHECK PRE-COLLISION CITY SENSOR
    1. Check pre-collision city sensor. (w/o Sliding Roof)
      NOTE:

DTCs may be output when connectors are disconnected during inspection. Therefore, make sure to clear the DTCs using the Techstream once the inspection has been completed.

      1. Disconnect the Q7 pre-collision city sensor connector.

      2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Voltage

        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        Q7-7 (IG1) - Body ground Power switch is on (IG) 11 to 14 V
        Q7-7 (IG1) - Body ground Power switch off Below 1 V
      3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance

        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        Q7-10 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      4. Connect the Q7 pre-collision city sensor connector.
    2. Check pre-collision city sensor. (w/ Sliding Roof)
      NOTE:

DTCs may be output when connectors are disconnected during inspection. Therefore, make sure to clear the DTCs using the Techstream once the inspection has been completed.
