DTC C1AA8: Front Camera Module Incorrect Axial Gap; DTC C1AA9: Front Camera Module Beam Axis Not Adjusted [11/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR DTCS 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Chassis / PCS/LDA/RSA/LVN / Trouble Codes.
    5. Check for DTCs (Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [11/2015 - ] ).
      RESULT

      Result Proceed to
      Current DTC C1AA8 or History DTC C1AA8 is output A
      DTC C1AA9 is output B

    Result: 

    B

  2. CHECK VEHICLE OPERATING CONDITION 
    1. Check the operating conditions of the vehicle.
      RESULT

      Result Proceed to
      Vehicle is not overloaded or being towed. A
      Vehicle is overloaded or being towed. B

  3. CHECK WHEEL ALIGNMENT 
    1. Check the front and rear wheel alignment (toe).
      RESULT

      Result Proceed to
      Front or rear wheel is misaligned (toe) A
      Front and rear wheels are not misaligned (toe) B

  4. ADJUST WHEEL ALIGNMENT 
    1. Adjust the alignment (toe) of the wheels.

  5. PERFORM PRE-COLLISION CITY SENSOR LEARNING 
    1. Perform Pre-collision City Sensor Learning (Refer to ADJUSTMENT [11/2015 - ] ).

    NEXT

  6. CHECK FOR DTCS 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Chassis / PCS/LDA/RSA/LVN / Trouble Codes.
    5. Clear the DTCs (Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [11/2015 - ] ).
    6. Make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.

      HINT: 

      If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.

    7. Check for DTCs (Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [11/2015 - ] ).
      RESULT

      Result Proceed to
      DTC C1AA8 is not output A
      DTC C1AA8 is output B

    Result: 

    A

    REPLACE PRE-COLLISION CITY SENSOR 

    Refer to COMPONENTS [11/2015 - ] )

  7. CHECK PRE-COLLISION CITY SENSOR INSTALLATION 
    1. Check the installation condition of the pre-collision city sensor (Refer to INSTALLATION [11/2015 - ] ).

      HINT: 

      If there is a malfunction with the installation condition of the pre-collision city sensor, replace the windshield glass (Refer to REMOVAL [11/2015 - ] ).

      OK

      No deformation or deviation in pre-collision city sensor installation bracket

    Result: 

    OK

  8. REPLACE WINDSHIELD GLASS 
    1. Replace the windshield glass (Refer to REMOVAL [11/2015 - ] ).

  9. PERFORM PRE-COLLISION CITY SENSOR LEARNING 
    1. Return the vehicle to normal operating conditions.
    2. Perform Pre-collision City Sensor Learning (Refer to ADJUSTMENT [11/2015 - ] ).

  10. CHECK FOR DTCS 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Chassis / PCS/LDA/RSA/LVN / Trouble Codes.
    5. Clear the DTCs (Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [11/2015 - ] ).
    6. Make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.

      HINT: 

      If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.

    7. Check for DTCs (Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [11/2015 - ] ).
      RESULT

    1. Perform Pre-collision City Sensor Learning (Refer to ADJUSTMENT [11/2015 - ] ).
