DTC C1A47: Steering Angle Sensor [11/2015 - ]: Description

The pre-collision city sensor receives steering angle information from the steering sensor. If the pre-collision city sensor detects a steering sensor malfunction, DTC C1A47 is stored.

DTC No. DTC Detection Condition Trouble Area
C1A47 Both of the following conditions are met:
  1. All of the following conditions are met:
    • 3 seconds have elapsed since the power switch was turned on (IG).
    • The auxiliary battery voltage is 10 V or more for 3 seconds or more.
  2. All of the following conditions are met for 1 second or more:
    • The vehicle is being driven at 50 km/h (32 mph) or more.
    • Communication between the pre-collision city sensor and steering sensor (spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly) is normal.
    • The pre-collision city sensor receives a steering sensor (spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly) malfunction signal from the steering sensor (spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly).
  • Electronically controlled brake system
  • Steering sensor (Spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly)
  • Pre-collision city sensor
