DTC C1AA3: Vehicle Speed Sensor Circuit [11/2015 - ]: Description

The pre-collision city sensor receives vehicle speed signals from the skid control ECU (brake booster with master cylinder assembly). When the skid control ECU (brake booster with master cylinder assembly) detects a malfunction in a wheel speed sensor, the pre-collision city sensor is notified via CAN communication and DTC C1AA3 is stored.

DTC No. DTC Detection Condition Trouble Area
C1AA3 Both of the following conditions are met:
  1. All of the following conditions are met:
    • 3 seconds have elapsed since the power switch was turned on (IG).
    • The auxiliary battery voltage is 10 V or more for 3 seconds or more.
  2. All of the following conditions are met for 1 second or more:
    • Communication between the pre-collision city sensor and skid control ECU (brake booster with master cylinder assembly) is normal.
    • The pre-collision city sensor receives a wheel speed sensor malfunction signal from the skid control ECU (brake booster with master cylinder assembly).
  • Electronically controlled brake system

  • Pre-collision city sensor
