Inspection [11/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT COMBINATION SWITCH ASSEMBLY 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      *a Component without harness connected
      (Combination Switch Assembly)
      STANDARD RESISTANCE

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      3 (ECU) - 1 (GND) Pre-collision system cancel switch off 10 M Ω or higher
      Pre-collision system cancel switch on Below 1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the combination switch assembly.

    2. Apply battery voltage to the combination switch assembly and check that it illuminates.
      OK

      Tester Connection Switch Condition
      Battery positive (+) → Terminal 8 (ILL+) Battery negative (-) → Terminal 6 (ILL-) Illuminates

      If the result is not as specified, replace the combination switch assembly.
