Steering Pad Switch Circuit [09/2016 - ]: Procedure

1. Disconnect the I33 navigation receiver assembly connector.
2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   I33-21 (SW1) - I33-23 (SWG)	No switch pushed	95 to 105 kΩ
   	Seek+ switch pushed	Below 2.5 Ω
   	Seek- switch pushed	313 to 345 Ω
   	Volume+ switch pushed	950 to 1050 Ω
   	Volume- switch pushed	2955 to 3265 Ω
   I33-22 (SW2) - I33-23 (SWG)	No switch pushed	95 to 105 kΩ
   	MODE/HOLD switch pushed	Below 2.5 Ω
   	On hook switch pushed	313 to 345 Ω
   	Off hook switch pushed	950 to 1050 Ω
   	Voice switch pushed	2955 to 3265 Ω

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

OK 

PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE [09/2016 - 05/2019]  , or refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE [05/2019 - ]

2. Inspect the steering pad switch assembly.

   Refer to INSPECTION [09/2016 - ]

REPLACE STEERING PAD SWITCH ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [09/2016 - 07/2020]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [07/2020 - ]

1. Remove the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly.

   Refer to REMOVAL [09/2016 - 07/2020] , or refer to REMOVAL [07/2020 - ]

2. Inspect the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly.

   Refer to INSPECTION [09/2016 - ]

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - SPIRAL CABLE WITH SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY)
