Removal [09/2016 - 07/2020]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR 
    1. Drain the engine coolant (for Engine).

      Refer to REPLACEMENT [09/2016 - 07/2020]

    2. Remove the No. 1 engine cover sub-assembly.

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13

    3. Disconnect the No. 2 engine coolant temperature sensor connector.

    4. Remove the clip and No. 2 engine coolant temperature sensor from the radiator pipe.

      NOTE:

      If the No. 2 engine coolant temperature sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it.

  2. REMOVE ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR 
    1. Remove the EGR valve assembly.

      Refer to REMOVAL [09/2016 - 07/2020]

    2. Disconnect the engine coolant temperature sensor connector.

    3. Using SST, remove the engine coolant temperature sensor from the water outlet.

      *1 Gasket
      • SST: 09817-33191 
      NOTE:

      If the engine coolant temperature sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it.

    4. Remove the gasket from the engine coolant temperature sensor.
